“Associate” is the best way to describe Paul Moyer’s relationship to the Seahawks. Why? He is the only person in team history who has been a player, a coach, and a broadcaster – all for the Seahawks. He spent seven seasons as a safety until a neck injury ended his playing career in 1989. The next five years he was the Seahawks Secondary coach.
Since then, Moyer has filled an ongoing role as a commentator –- focused, of course, on the Seahawks. One of the franchise’s earliest stars, he played a central role in shaping the team’s identity both on the field and in the broadcast booth. His longevity and multi-role service make him one of the most uniquely influential figures in Seahawks history.
