Northwest fans know him best as a radio voice for Seattle Sports and the Seahawks, but Cougars remember Michael Bumpus as a standout receiver and punt returner for Washington State. He was a “Best in the West" high school receiver in Culver City, California, and had an immediate impact at Wazzu. In four straight seasons, he earned varying forms of All-Pac-10 recognition and was an All-American his Freshman year. By the time he hung up his cleats in Pullman, he ranked Top-Ten all-time across a handful of stats, and had a school-record 195 receptions for 2,022 yards and eight touchdowns.
