Sounders FC First to Fill Trophy Case with Continental Conquest

After competing against the world’s best at the FIFA Club World Cup and hosting some of the matches, Sounders FC turned its focus to Leagues Cup 2025, an annual tournament between the best of MLS and Mexico’s Liga MX. The Rave Green cruised past four Mexican opponents and defending MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy, and then won the final over Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF in front of a roaring record crowd of 69,314 at Lumen Field.

With that win, Sounders FC became the first team to capture all five major North American soccer trophies – MLS Cup, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup, Supporters’ Shield and Leagues Cup.
