Seahawks to Super Bowl LX with Winningest Season
They were picked by many to be mediocre, but the Seahawks were anything but. They won their seven regular-season games to set a franchise record with 14 victories and capture the NFC West championship for the first time since 2014. Their stretch run included an improbable 38-37 overtime win against the Rams. The playoffs got even better.
The Seahawks demolished the 49ers 41-6 and outdueled the Rams 31-27 to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in 11 years. They had the league’s best defense, a surging offense, and surprising depth. Mike Macdonald reached the big game in just his second season as a head coach, and General Manager John Schneider was named NFL Executive of the Year.
