When the Seahawks traded top receiver DK Metcalf in the off-season, that opened the door for Smith-Njigba. He burst through it to have an historic season.

JSN already was an established star. In 2025, he moved from the slot to outside, but really, he was all over the field. Running precise routes and having exceptional hands, he was the favorite target of quarterback Sam Darnold with an average 105 yards per game. He’s only the second Seahawk receiver to be a unanimous All-Pro, joining Hall of Famer Steve Largent.
