Amanda and Hana Moll

Amanda and Hana Moll

The sophomore twins from Olympia had an amazing year, with Amanda dominating indoors and Hana dominating outdoors. They took turns being on top of their event.

  • Amanda was National Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year
  • Amanda won the Big Ten championship and first collegiate woman to clear 16 feet
  • Hana was National Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year
  • Hana broke her sister’s NCAA outdoor record

These 20-year-olds are operating at the highest level of collegiate pole-vaulting. Amanda swept Big Ten honors indoors, while breaking the NCAA record four times. Outdoors she broke the national record twice, but it was Hana who won the outdoor championship and became the first Husky ever named National Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year. They finished sixth at the world championships. Closer than close, they were tied.
