Harry the Husky

Harry the Husky has not simply shown up for the B1G Ten transition, he’s owned it. Moving to a super-conference allowed Harry to showcase his powerhouse charisma to a massive new audience, igniting a viral wave of gameday moments.  At every home game against a B1G Ten rival, Harry engineered unique skits, including a viral post focused on the rivalry with the Oregon Duck that generated over 1 million impressions across social platforms in less than 24 hours.

Harry balances being an in-game hype man with increased community engagement and social media impressions. Since transitioning to a new conference, this expanded footprint of visibility has resulted in a nearly 50% growth in social followers and a 150% jump in overall engagement compared to previous years. In support of the Abbott Blood Drive, Harry was featured in a series of commercials with other B1G Ten mascots and was part of a historic opening bell celebration at the NYSE in collaboration with Abbott and the B1G.

Harry often visits the UW Food Pantry, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and various dog-themed charity events. He also is an ardent supporter of the UW Dawg Dash and the Seattle Marathon along with Base 2 Space, hosted by the Space Needle. In total Harry attended over 100 external community events that included birthdays, bat mitzvahs, weddings, and kid-centric events such as the YWCA Holiday Gift Exchange and Real Dawgs read. Harry the Husky is a tremendous ambassador for the University of Washington in the community!
