Benaroya Hall in Downtown Seattle

The 77th Annual Sports Star of the Year, presented by ROOT SPORTS™ will be back at Benaroya Hall January 25, 2012. Created by Royal Brougham and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in 1936, this event has celebrated the achievements of Washington sports for nearly eight decades. 

At the pre-show reception, attendees convene in the Grande Lobby to enjoy complimentary appetizers, beer and wine while mingling with special guests.  In the past, these guests have included Apolo Ohno, Don James, Gary Payton, Steve Largent, Hope Solo, Keith Jackson, Paul Allen, Felix Hernandez and many more.  Following the reception is a thrilling and suspenseful presentation of awards highlighting the achievements of your favorite sports figures and teams from the previous year.  And this year, the event will feature a live band, Coldnote. 

This January you are sure to see bright upcoming stars as well as beloved familiar faces.  Come be a part of Washington sports history!

Note:
$75 ticket includes access to the pre-show reception (complimentary food & beverage, including alcohol)
$35 ticket provides entry to the awards show only

Please join us at the post-event party immediately after the show at The Triple Door.  Drinks will feature Mezcal Zac, owned by Edgar Martinez and Gene Juarez, and the DJ will be DVONE.
