The Seattle Sports Commission (SSC) is a non-profit agency dedicated to: creating economic development through sports and recreation, supporting the local sports community and promoting health and fitness in the Puget Sound region.
Through strategic Partnerships, the SSC leverages a strong corporate community, a rich sports culture, venue assets and government support to attract and promote high impact events to this region. We have a vision for Seattle to be recognized as a featured sports destination and a premier host for national sporting events.
Sports are an integral part of who we are. The SSC is an advocate to local amateur, collegiate, and professional sports organizations because we understand the cultural importance of sports in our community.
Seattle is known as one of the most physically active cities in America. The SSC supports the Powered By You fitness movement and the SUBWAY® Washington Games in an effort to curb the rising incidence of youth obesity in our state.
