SUBWAY Washington Games

The SUBWAY Washington Games are the State Games for Washington.  An Olympic-style sports festival with over 25 different sports and 7,500 participants each year, the SUBWAY Washington Games has a sport for everyone.  Visit www.subwaywashingtongames.org for more information.

 

Boeing Classic

Seattle's PGA Champions Tour returned to TPC Snoqualmie Ridge with 78 for the annual Boeing Classic Tournament. Participating professional golfers included Gallery Favorites Tom Kite, Bernhard Langer, Craig Stadler, Nick Price and others competed for $1.7 million in prize money while raising money for the Heart Institute at Virginia Mason Medical Center.

 

Seafair

It’s Seattle’s traditional summer festival. A month-long, region-wide barbecue, that brings an entire community together in celebration. Seafair is about community events, parades, Miss Seafair, the Navy and Coast Guard, amateur athletics, airplanes and of course, boat racing. But most of all, Seafair has been about people and it continues to be.

 

Rock 'N' Roll Seattle Marathon & 1/2 Marathon

The inagural Rock 'N' Roll Seattle Marathon & 1/2 Marathon drew 25,000 runners in June 2009.  We are excited to have this marathon come back every year as a part of the annual Seafair celebration.

2009 NCAA DI Women's Basketball 1st and 2nd Rounds Seattle

The University of Washington played host to the first and second rounds of the NCAA DI Women's Basketball Tournament ad Bank of America Arena.

2008 NCAA DI Women's Volleyball Regional Seattle

Washington, Michigan, Nebraska, and Utah all came to Washington in December of 2008 to compete for the National Championship Tournament.  The SSC assisted University of Washington and helped make this tournament a success!

 
NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships

The University of Washington and the Seattle Sports Commission teamed up to host the 2008 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way. The meet ran from March 27th-29th and marked the third time Washington has hosted the event.
 
 

NAGAAA 2008 Gay Softball World Series

In August of 2008, hundreds of players and their families decended to Seattle and the Southside for the NAGAAA 2008 Gay Softball World Series.  The SSC and Seattle Southside Visitors Services teamed up to bring this great event to town.

10th Annual MSNM US National Championship

A battle between All-Star basketball teams from US and Canada. The event was attended by 150+ college coaches and was held at The University of Washington and additional venues between July 10-13, 2007. For additional information about this event visit www.hooptournaments.com

 
 

The 2007 Seattle Oyster Urban Adventure Race

It is the "Ultimate Urban Adventure Race," consisting of three-person teams (men's, women's, and a coed division) which raced around Seattle, its parks and major attractions, in order to see which team was most physically and mentally fit. Red Bull Soapbox Race 2007

The Red Bull Soapbox Race made its Seattle debut on September 29, 2007. Forty teams of daredevils, gear heads, and auto amateurs raced against the clock down the half-mile course down Fremont Ave in an all-out battle to the finish line. For more information, go to www.redbullsoapbox.com.

 
 

2007 World Cyber Games

The ultimate gaming tournament made its way to Seattle October 4-7, 2007 at Qwest Field Event Center. This action-packed event included over 700 participants from 73 countries around the world who competed for the championship.  In the end Team USA walked away victorious.
