The public has spoken. Through an online vote the 1958 UW Men's Varsity Eight Crew victory over the infamous Leningrad Trud crew in Russia and one of the greatest upsets in rowing history, took number one as the top sports story of the past 75 years.

Felix Hernandez provided yet another highlight to his glittering Mariners careeer, throwing the first perfect game in franchise history. He struck out 12 as Seattle beat Tampa Bay 1-0, a crowining chievement for King Felix.
